Mapping home during Covid-19

Children and young people’s conceptualisations of home at a time of crisis

How have children and young people made sense of their homes during the Covid-19 crisis? How have they engaged with the places where they live through repeated lockdowns? We can use hand-drawn maps to explore these questions…

■ All specifications: Place

The home has long been associated with a sense of belonging, identity and memory. The Covid-19 crisis, and the instruction to stay at home during the worst of the pandemic, has led to a re-creation and reshaping of how the home is used and perceived.
