An extra-curricular geography club provides many opportunities for your study of the subject. Traditionally run by teachers, there is no reason why such clubs could not be overseen by students. In fact, it could be argued that this is more desirable. It gives you the freedom to pursue the activities you want and the ability to talk about ideas that may have more personal relevance to you.
