This Question and Answer takes a look at an AQA specimen question for the 2016 specification on the themes of TNCs within globalisation, and governance of the global commons in relation to Antarctica. This includes a data-analysis question. These questions could be used in preparation for other specifications, bearing in mind differences in question and mark-scheme style (see Box 1). The sub-questions discussed here are from Paper 2 Human geography, Section A Global systems and global governance. There are three sub-questions from the sequence of four as shown in Table 1 (question 1.3 is not covered here). The three sub-questions vary in demand and command word.
