question and answer

Earth hazards

This Question and Answer focuses on a question from the OCR A2 exam paper Global issues. Although this is an OCR question, other exam boards use similar resource-based questions, and if you are studying tectonic hazards it is well worth reading this. The question is printed in bold type and the students’ answers are in tint areas. The examiner’s comments are the responsibility of GEOGRAPHY REVIEW and have neither been provided nor approved by the examination board. Andy Palmer writes here in a personal capacity. The question is reproduced by permission of OCR

The content of the Global issues exam paper covers a range of environmental and economic issues, including Earth hazards, climatic hazards, globalisation, and development and inequalities.

It is a demanding paper, similar in structure to exam papers for the other boards. Candidates have to answer resource-based questions in Section A and essay questions in Section B. This Question and Answer focuses on the Section A questions.
