There are many alternatives to established careers in publishing, librarianship, journalism and teaching (which usually require an undergraduate degree plus a specialist postgraduate qualification). New kinds of jobs have emerged that provide diverse opportunities to utilise literacy skills and enthusiasm for literature. Keeping an open mind about where you might be able to deploy literary interests and expertise could lead you up a number of imaginative career paths.
