AQA (A): Paper 2 ‘World War I and its aftermath’: core set texts
While there are a number of ways we might connect texts in order to make meaning within the shared context of the First World War and its aftermath, the real skill and judgement lie in pursuing the most fruitful arguments and lines of enquiry. As differences are invariably more interesting than similarities, one approach is to see every link as an opportunity to go on to discuss contrasts between texts, genres, methods and effects.
