Ashley Lait interviews Peter Smith, editor of ECONOMIC REVIEW. He is emeritus professor at the University of Southampton, where he taught economics for 40 years before retiring. He has been involved with ECONOMIC REVIEW from when it was launched at the University of Southampton in 1983, and has contributed to every issue since the second. He is currently working on a new edition of his A-level economics textbooks, due for publication in 2019
