Hydrogen is explosive, requiring little activation energy to react with oxygen in the air. Surely it would be a bad idea to go anywhere near such a gas, let alone try to use it as a fuel source in everyday life? This is what many people believe about hydrogen fuel cells (HFCs), but while there may be that potential danger, the only products of the reaction are water and heat — making it a completely green energy source.
Fossil fuels are running out and we need other sources of energy, which is where hydrogen comes in. Electricity can be generated by primary energy sources such as solar panels and wind farms.Unfortunately, such devices only function in the right weather conditions.
