Chemistry3

Introducing inorganic, organic and physical chemistry

Chemistry3 is a book for chemistry students making the transition from A-level to university, and like many chemistry books it is the result of a painstaking process of writing drafts, responding to reviewers’ comments (over 70 university lecturers were involved in the review process) and editing chapters, carried out by me and my four co-authors.

Terry Pratchett, author of the Discworld series, is able to write an average of two books a year, but the ambitious brief of Chemistry3 meant that it took 6 years to complete. This is because of the huge variation in chemistry courses around the UK, meaning it was important to thoroughly research different courses to ensure Chemistry3 covers the majority of what is taught.
