Charlotte’s Cupboard

Charlotte and Thalassa are on a mission to change the way we shop, change the way the supply chain supplies, and ultimately change the consumer behaviour that is burying our planet in plastic. Together they form Charlotte’s Cupboard — the UK’s first waste-free shop on wheels

Charlotte Cross and Thalassa de Burgh-Milne got their business up and running in 2017 with just £11,000. Since then they have made excellent use of creative social media campaigns to steadily grow their customer base and sales month on month, along with breaking down entrenched supplier processes to ensure they stick to their core values.

Charlotte and Thalassa have known each other for 14 years. They met when working at Boots in Brighton and then went off on their own different paths, before returning to the city where they met. They both became vegan 3 years ago and started trying to live minimal-waste lifestyles and to shop plastic-free.
