The BUSS2 exam is arguably the most important and challenging of the four business exams. It carries the most weighting, accounting for 30% of your overall mark after 2 years. It is also one of the most time-constrained exams, as it expects you to look at two different case studies along with four longer-style questions within just an hour and a half.
Historically many students have performed well on the BUSS1 exam, only to be brought back down to earth with the issues that BUSS2 presents. This could be due to students becoming overconfident after a strong performance on BUSS1, leading to a less stellar result on BUSS2. However, it is probably more to do with how difficult the exam itself is and how many students fail to complete all of the questions to a high standard. Your teachers will stress the importance of getting timing right for any exam and for any subject — following this advice is understandably difficult under the pressures of the exam hall, but it is perhaps more crucial on this unit than any other.
