Despite being one of the USA’s most prosperous states and featuring 10,000 lakes, Minnesota does not feature too highly in many travel guides. However, it is home to two of the oldest US summer camps: Camp Lincoln for boys on one side of Lake Hubert and Camp Lake Hubert for girls on the other.

In 1996 I had my first experience of working as a counsellor at a summer camp and the lessons that I learned and the people that I met have shaped my life ever since. Many of the individuals I met went on to have great success in business. This is the first of a series of articles that show what different individuals have gone on to achieve.
