Business studies exams are often labelled as ‘hard to revise for’. This is because, unlike other subjects, you are not marked highly simply for knowledge of content. To do well in a business exam you need to not only know the content of the specification but be able to apply it to different businesses, analyse and evaluate it. This becomes more relevant throughout each unit, and it is what makes Unit 4 so intimidating.

Unit 4 consists of two essay questions, and therefore there are no chances to pick up content marks in short-answer questions. Therefore, it is essential to master the other key skills (application, analysis and evaluation) in order to pick up the best marks.
