Deciding to study business studies at A-level was easy: it was an area in which I wanted to work in the future. The hard part was adapting to the large number of different skills required, from evaluative essay writing, to research and mathematical calculations. In order to get an A* I found that I needed to do large amounts of revision, but more importantly I needed to have strong exam technique.
The step-up from GCSE to AS must not be underestimated. At the beginning of the year the difference was substantial across all my subjects, and business was no exception. However, I found the transition harder in other subjects such as French and history, where you are truly thrown in at the deep end.
