In order to do well in the AQA Unit 3 exam, it is vital that you appreciate the importance of good exam technique and that you can demonstrate the skills the examiners are looking for. In this article, I explain what those skills are and illustrate them by analysing a student answer to two questions from the June 2010 paper.
Knowledge provides the foundation on which an answer is built. You are expected to have knowledge of all the topics covered in the specification. In order to award marks for knowledge, examiners are looking for your ability to provide accurate definitions of the concept being examined in the question and your ability to identify relevant points.
