In the Unit 4 exam for AQA (BUSS4: The Business Environment and Managing Change) you are required to write two essays in 1 hour 45 minutes. The exam counts for 50% of the A2 course and 25% of the total A-level.
BUSS4 has 80 available marks, divided equally between two sections, A and B. Part A is based on a pre-issued research theme. Part B requires you to write one essay chosen from three titles. This essay is linked to an area of Unit 4 but you can draw upon knowledge from all the business studies units studied at AS and A2. These two essays are a challenge as they are the longest pieces of writing you are expected to complete during the course.
