Some mistakes can be just clumsy and should be avoidable, but many are the result of common misconceptions that seem to come up time and time again. It is always a good idea to leave some time to check through your answers so you can spot the clumsy mistakes. What follows are some of the most common errors that students make when answering questions. Hopefully, this might help you avoid them too.

DNA replication and transcription are important processes that involve synthesising new polynucleotide strands. During DNA replication, two new DNA strands are synthesised, and during transcription a single strand of mRNA is synthesised.
