It is great to be able to visit and communicate with people around the world. I’m lucky that my current role as a European research project manager allows me to do this on a regular basis.

I really enjoyed biology at school and knew that ‘when I grew up’ I wanted to study biology. I was inspired by images under the microscope — I thought the internal workings of cells from animals, plants and microorganisms were magic.
