Liability for animals

Dale Smith gives advice on how to tackle Section B questions involving liability for animals in OCR Unit G157

Dangerous species are not commonly domesticated in the UK

Problem questions on animals will ask you to apply the law regarding two or three issues. Failure to identify and discuss all of the issues will limit your potential mark, so read the scenario carefully.

You are advised to number each incident on the examination paper itself and also add whether the animal is dangerous (D) or non-dangerous (ND). You must also indicate any other relevant features, for example if the keeper is under 16.
