Under the Constitutional Reform Act 2005 the Lord Chief Justice is responsible for making arrangements for training the judiciary in England and Wales. ‘Judiciary’ here includes magistrates and their legal advisers. Under the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007 the senior president of tribunals has an equivalent responsibility in relation to tribunal judges and tribunal lay members.
