Visiting your local Magistrates’, Crown and County Courts is a must for any law student who is seriously considering pursuing a career in the legal profession. Even if you don’t want to carry on studying law, it is a useful experience just to see how our courts work in practice. It is vastly different from what you see in television programmes and films.

The courts are public buildings. They are open during weekdays from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. but do not usually operate at weekends.
