This ‘Examination focus’ is relevant to AQA Paper 1, OCR Component 1, WJEC Units 3 and 4 and Eduqas Components 2 and 3.

Theft is defined in Section 1 Theft Act 1968. According to the Act, ‘a person is guilty of theft if he dishonestly appropriates property belonging to another with the intention of permanently depriving the other of it.’
