Khan v Meadows (2021)

In this case, the respondent sought advice from a doctor as to whether she carried the haemophilia gene. Instead of running a gene test, the doctor ran a blood test to see if she had haemophilia. He negligently failed to advise her to have the genetic test. The blood test came back negative, but Meadows carried the gene. She later had a son who suffered from haemophilia and she sued the doctor for the costs of bringing up her child, alleging his negligence.
