Law is a competitive area full of highly competitive individuals. Law students are therefore often concerned with the position of a university within a league table. League tables categorise the performance of universities based upon various factors such as how many students are satisfied with a course and quality of teaching. There are a number of reputable websites that outline the current ranking for UK universities in a general performance league table, but it is important to note that there are also league tables that specifically relate to the performance of a university in relation to its law programmes. An institution’s placing can differ significantly between the two, so it is worth undertaking a comparative exercise.
