This article is relevant to AQA A-level Paper 3 (law of contract) and OCR A-level Component 3 (law of contract).

The remedy of damages is available for all kinds of breach of contract. The remedy is an award of money that aims to compensate the innocent party for the financial losses they have suffered as a result of the breach. It is the usual remedy and damages are available as of right where a contract is breached.
